Handout A: Referral Cover

| Originating analyst | J. Tran, Pittsburgh Field Office |
| Routed to | Latchkey Archive, Pittsburgh Regional (courtesy copy); assigned field agent |

Analyst summary: Three Erie-area non-emergency calls from the same cul-de-sac report property returned by an unknown party. No crime alleged. One caller reports a juvenile in a neighboring yard at approximately 3 a.m. on multiple nights and supplied doorbell camera footage. A residence on the same street (Hale, 22 Ridgeview Ct.) acquired the contents of a storage unit at lien auction on 12 September; the purchaser has since listed "vintage church items" for sale. Referring on the pattern alone. Latchkey copy sent because of the church items.
Nothing in this file indicates a crime. Everything in it indicates something. J.T.

Re: Unit 214, lien sale 12 September
Following up on the lien sale paperwork. Buyer Curtis Hale came by the office twice asking who the prior tenant was. I told him we can't give that out. He said he "just wanted to ask the guy something." Second time his kid was with him, she asked me if the old man was still alive.
Also for the file, not a complaint: for as long as I've worked here (2016) anything lost on the property turned up outside 214. Keys, a kid's shoe, one time a guy's dentures. We called it the Lost and Found Unit. Since the sale it's stopped. Probably nothing. You said to note anything unusual about the unit so I'm noting it.

Handout G: Frank Mazur's Journal
Found in the box of parish papers in Curtis's garage (Chapter Five, Scene Four). Research, Average , to find this page among forty years of sacristy entries; no roll if the characters are looking for 2009.
SACRISTY JOURNAL, ST. ANTHONY OF THE HARBOR · ENTRY OF 4 NOVEMBER 2009
I asked for Irene. God forgive me, I knew the custom and I asked anyway, at the side altar after the 5:30, and I asked again at home with the box on the kitchen table because I had brought it home to ask.
Something came up the stairs at three in the morning. It knew her name. It did not know mine. It wore her blue cardigan, the one we buried her in. I put the box in the cupboard in the dark and it stopped on the landing and went away.
Fr. Kowal blessed the house on Thursday. He did not ask and I did not tell him.
Never for people. Never again.
